Can expats parents perform Umrah from Dubai?

Salam,
I’m an expat living in Dubai. My parents are visiting me in Dubai, and they wish to perform Umrah. Is it possible for them to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah directly from Dubai? What are the requirements and procedures for this journey?
Thank you

  1. Yes, your parents can perform Umrah from Dubai. Here’s what you need to do:

Get an Umrah Visa: Apply for an Umrah visa for your parents through an approved Saudi travel agent. They will need valid passports, photos, and other required documents.

Dubai Visa: Make sure your parents also have valid Dubai visas so they can travel to Dubai first.

Travel Arrangements: Once they are in Dubai, they can travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah. You can arrange flights or even consider a road journey, depending on their preferences and comfort.

Return to Dubai or Elsewhere: If they plan to return to Dubai after Umrah, check whether a re-entry visa is needed or if their existing Dubai visa allows re-entry. Many people often travel from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan instead, so this could also be an option.

    Recommendation:
I suggest reaching out to a trusted Dubai-based travel agent. They can guide you better on the visa requirements, re-entry rules, and package options for Umrah. Travel agents often provide complete packages that make the process much easier for families.

  2. Thank you so much. They will travel back to Pakistan from Saudi Arabia.
