Food Budget for 3 People for 15 Days

Aslamo Alikum,
What is the estimated food cost in Saudi Riyals for a 3-person group for 15 days Umrah? Any cost breakdown for typical meals (breakfast, launch, and dinner) would also be helpful.
Thank you and Jazak Allah.

  1. For a group of 3 people during Umrah, a 15-day food package in Saudi Arabia would cost around 2500 to 3000 SAR (minimum with normal food). Here’s a breakdown of typical daily expenses:

    Breakfast:-
Paratha and omelette: 10 SAR per person
    Tea: 3 SAR per person
    Total per person: 13 SAR

    Lunch:-
Curry with 3 rotis (enough for 2 people): 15 SAR
Dividing cost: ~7.5 SAR per person

    Dinner:-
Curry with 3 rotis (enough for 2 people): 20 SAR
Dividing cost: ~10 SAR per person
    Tea: 3 SAR per person

On average, daily food costs per person would be approximately 30-35 SAR. If you drink more tea then better to bring tea cattle, tea bags, sugar, and tea from your home country as these groceries are expensive in Saudi Arabia. If you also want to enjoy Albaik or other Saudi foods then you need 1000-1500 riyals more.

  2. Thank you very much. It’s very useful information.
In Madina also the same price for food?
And shopping for example prayer mate, miswak ,topi, tasbeeh etc.
And for Quran tafseer in Urdu please?

  3. For food costs in Madinah, prices are generally higher than in Makkah. Therefore, a wise approach is essential to manage your budget well. The estimated 2500 to 3000 SAR food cost still applies, but you may need to adjust depending on the options available and your daily needs.

As for shopping items, like prayer mats, miswak, caps (topi), tasbeeh, and Quran with Urdu tafseer, it’s recommended to buy these items from your home country, if possible. Prices in Saudi Arabia, especially in Madinah, tend to be higher, so you can save significantly by purchasing them before your trip. I hope it will help you.
