Aslamo Alikum,
When traveling for Umrah, who is responsible for verifying the Polio Certificate, the airline at check-in or immigration upon arrival? Understanding the correct procedure can help avoid travel issues. Has anyone recently traveled for Umrah and experienced the Polio Certificate verification process?
Please share your insights.
Thank you
Wa Alikum Salam,
When traveling for Umrah, the Polio Certificate is usually checked by the airline during check-in. Airlines ensure that passengers meet all travel requirements before allowing them to board. If you don’t have the required vaccination proof, you may be denied boarding.
However, immigration authorities in Saudi Arabia may also check the Polio Certificate upon arrival, especially for travelers from countries where polio vaccination is mandatory. It’s best to carry the original certificate and a copy to avoid any issues.
Jazak Allah. Thank you so much 🙂
