Salam
Can someone please tell me what the cost of an Umrah visa from Pakistan is now in 2025?
I need only an Umrah visa, so kindly tell me the total cost of the visa only. Please also tell me if insurance and transport are included in the Umrah visa or not. If not, what is the procedure for including them? Or, I don’t need this if I’m planning to go there on my own.
Thank you for your kind help.
Jazak Allah
Jazak Allah. Thank you so much for the help. I will definitely pray for you during my Umrah. 🙂
You can visit the Haramain train website at https://sar.hhr.sa/timetable# to check the latest schedules and ticket prices. Alternatively, you can download the Haramain Train app on your mobile to easily view schedules and fares. The Haramain train also offers discounts occasionally, so it’s a good idea to follow their social media pages to stay updated on promotions. In Last months, they were offering a 50% discount on tickets between the holy cities (see the attached image). Be sure to book tickets well in advance, as prices tend to increase closer to the travel date. You can also purchase tickets from Pakistan using a credit card.
Thank you for providing this detailed information; it’s really helpful. Do you know how I can check the latest ticket prices for the Haramain train?
The bus is the most budget-friendly option, followed by the Haramain train. Taxis can also be economical if you’re traveling with two or more people. If you’re on a budget, I suggest taking the bus, which you can either arrange through a travel agent or book yourself at bus stations in each city. When using a travel agent, you’ll need to follow their schedule, but if you buy the tickets on your own, you can choose from various transport companies that operate across Saudi cities.
For a higher budget, prioritizing comfort and time, the Haramain train is an excellent option. Taxis are also convenient, but in my experience, some drivers may not always stop when needed or may use the AC sparingly, which can be uncomfortable—though, of course, your experience may vary.
Thank you for your detailed answer! Do you know which mode of transport would be the most affordable and convenient for traveling from Jeddah to Makkah, then from Makkah to Madinah, and finally from Madinah back to Jeddah? Could you also advise whether it’s better to use transport arranged by a travel agent or to arrange it ourselves? I’m still a bit confused. Thank you for your help!
The current cost of an Umrah visa from Pakistan is around 500 Riyals (approximately 37,000 PKR). The Umrah visa always includes insurance, but transport is usually not included. Some travel agents may charge extra for insurance, which is unnecessary since it’s already part of the visa fee, so avoid paying any additional amount for it.
As for transportation, it’s typically not covered in the visa fee. You can either have the travel agent arrange it for an added cost (usually they arrange it and add the cost in visa fee), or manage it on your own. Travel agents often arrange bus transportation, but if you prefer to handle it yourself, you have options like bus, car rental, or using the Haramain High-Speed Railway. Choose the transport mode that best suits your needs. I hope this answer will help you.
