  1. The cheapest way to get to Masjid Aisha from Masjid al-Haram is by taking the Makkah Bus or a shared taxi. Below is a breakdown of both options (you can choose the one which will be convenient for you):

    Makkah Bus:-
Cost: 4 Riyals per person per trip (8 Riyals round-trip)
Route: Walk 15-20 minutes from Safa and Marwa to Makkah Bus Terminal-1. Board Bus #2 or #12, which will drop you behind Masjid Aisha.
Return Trip: Take the bus back from the same stop, arriving at Bus Terminal-1, then walk 15-20 minutes back to Masjid al-Haram.
Ticket Purchase: Tickets can be bought from bus stop ticket sellers, machines, the Makkah bus app, or online using cash or card.

    Shared Taxi:-
Cost: 5 Riyals per person per trip (10 Riyals round-trip)
Route: Shared taxis are available near the Haram Bus Stop, close to Jabal e Umar hotels, just a 5-minute walk from Masjid al-Haram.
Return Trip: Pick up a shared taxi from in front of Masjid Aisha, which will drop you at the parking area near Gate 79 of Masjid al-Haram, minimizing walking.

Both options are economical and reasonable, but the shared taxi involves less walking and may be faster.

Private taxis (based on negotiation) and Uber are more costly but provide additional convenience and time savings if needed. In Private Taxis and Uber, Uber is more convenient and safe, if you know how to use it by turning the safety features on.

  2. Yes, whatever payment method you already have in your Uber app. Uber will use the same to charge for the Uber ride. I will recommend you use Uber with safety features (with PIN code and voice recording function) and always monitor the route because some taxi drivers especially from Asian countries take the longer route and charge extra via Uber. If you keep an eye on the route then they will not show their cleverness. If they still do not follow the Uber route then you can report the ride and Uber will refund the extra money back to you.

  3. Jazak Allah. Thank you so much. This information is really helpful.
If Uber is working there then can we use our home country’s payment method to book the Uber ride?

  4. Interesting. We don’t want to do too much complex things for Uber. It seems like, shared taxi will be more convenient for us.
Thank you again for this information.
May Allah reward you for this help.
