Dear JTH Members,
I am planning to perform Umrah soon, and I have a question about the timing of prayers for women in the Hateem area. Are there specific times reserved for women to pray there, or can they pray at any time? Any insights or experiences would be helpful.
Jazak Alla. Thank you.
Women have specific timings to pray inside the Hateem area, which is between 8:00 am and 11:00 am, right after Fajr prayer. During these hours, women need to stand in a designated queue to enter the Hateem. Security personnel manage the line and allow a limited number of women in at a time, entering from the front side of the queue. This arrangement gives women the opportunity to touch the Kaaba and pray Nawafil inside the Hateem.
Each group is given around 5-10 minutes inside the area to complete their prayers before the next group enters. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
Stay Calm and Respectful: It’s a holy place, so avoid pushing and wait patiently in line.
Prepare for Next Day if Needed: If you don’t get a chance to enter on your first attempt, you can try again the next day.
Be Prepared for a Short Duration: Since time is limited, focus on your prayer and supplications without rushing, avoid using your mobile, and be mindful of others waiting.
I wish you a peaceful and blessed experience in the Hateem. Also, remember me in your prayers.
Thank you so much. This information is really helpful. Jazak Allah
